Our client is a Swiss manufacturing company of current and voltage converters. Being on the market for over 50 years, they currently have a presence in 15 countries with over 1500 employees worldwide. The company focuses on two main production lines - industrial and automotive. Their products are embedded in trains, solar panels, wind generators, smart grip systems, industrial, and medical equipment. Within the automotive industry, they offer software products that are used to control electric motors, charging stations, and batteries. Our client has a presence in Bulgaria since 2013 and are currently the second-largest production center in the country with more than 25 production lines. With their newly opened R&D center in Sofia, they are looking to expand and grow, and as such, they are currently looking for a:

Product Development Engineer 
 

Responsibilities:

• Develop technical concepts and architectures for new products;
• Assess new product ideas and conduct proof of concept work;
• Provide feedback to the Product Manager on market requirements through reviews;
• Draft Technical Specifications for new products;
• Actively participate in product design and testing phases as part of the project team;
• Serve as an application expert, supporting Technical Customer Support and engaging with customers;

Requirements:

• Engineering University Degree in Electronics or Software Engineering, with a background as a System Engineer or Device Architect;
• Demonstrate proven work experience in Electronic design and/or Embedded Software design;
• Possess knowledge of Communications protocols and information security;
• Have experience with Automotive and Functional Safety products;
• Understand smart grid and/or electricity metering products;
• Exhibit good interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in English.
